Exciting Times Ahead

I know it's a bit late but I would like to start my very much anticipated 2014 with you all by saying...
I apologise for the lack of action on my website and social media lately, after an extremely busy and fun filled Christmas my husband and I decided it was time to take a break, get away for a few days and get in some relaxation time before we get started in 2014. We disappeared, and I really mean phone service.... to an amazing house in Warratah Bay in Victoria. Country meets the beach is the only way to explain it. We were waking up to cows in the paddocks and then heading out for a fish, well that's what my husband did! But the time away from home, even though it was only short, was just perfect and much needed after a big year in 2013.

For some reason when I am away from home and away from my computer I always think of some amazing ideas and new ways to be creative. So as you can imagine I am so excited about our time ahead together, I am going to be spending more time on my blog this year and hopefully will be sharing all of my amazing ideas with you in the coming months.

Because I'm too excited I just have to give you a sneak peak at a few of the new categories for my blog. Firstly, the new Colour of Month category. Each month will be a new colour and I'll be sharing some amazing homewares and decor in the colour of the month. I'm hoping to even tackle a few projects around my home that I'm sure I can tie in with the colour of the month. I would absolutely love it if you could all share a few of your projects as well, especially if they tie in with our colour choice!!!
My mind has been buzzing lately with a heap of DIY ideas that I simply can't wait to get started on. I'm hoping to get at least one DIY post up per month and I'm so excited to start on my first project!

But first I have recently found a few new blogs that I absolutely adore, one of my favourites is iHeart Organising. The beautiful writer of the blog Jen, has given me some amazing ideas on how to organise my home. I consider myself to be a bit of an organising freak but have always seen my home as a stepping stone to get to our dream home so have never really spent the time. Well that is about to change!  My first organising job will be my Christmas Decorations, they are an absolute mess and I normally just throw them into storage and forget about them until next year. Then on December 1st the following year I curse at my laziness and get so cranky as I untangle the fairy lights. Not any more I say!!! Not any more! Here are a few of the ideas I'm working through but I will be sure to share it with you when I'm finished.
I hope all of my lovely readers had a fantastic Christmas and New Year and are as excited about 2014 as I am. Enjoy your weekend, we shall meet again next week.
