Take Your Home From Tired To Transformed With These Simple Tips

(source)

When you feel like your home has seen better days, it can really affect your mood. It’s a funny theory, but it’s true. Just like if you’re living in chaos, you can feel like your life is incredibly chaotic - when your home looks old and tired, it makes you feel that way too! So, your home might be in need of a huge facelift. But when you’re faced with a massive renovation project, you may feel as if it’s going to take up all of your time, energy, and money. But that doesn’t have to be the case. You may find that you don’t need to take on a huge job at all. Instead, you may find that these simple tips can really transform your home for you.

Keep Clutter At Bay

The number one rule you should have is never to allow clutter. Just as we talked over before, chaos causes chaos. So if you are constantly living with piles of clutter around you, it’s going to make you feel cluttered yourself. So the best thing that you can do to start with, is clear all of the clutter around your home. Having a huge deep-cleanse like this always makes you feel great. Then, it gets you motivated for the rest of the work.

Pick One Color Palette

If you have no idea what to do design wise, pick a color palette. Choose three or four or five shades that you want to work with around the house and focus on them. Make sure that you’re only ever using these colors on the walls or in the fabrics you’re choosing. This will help your house to feel cohesive in design and much more ‘put together’.

Find Your Interiors Style

If you have no idea what kind of style you like, it’s time to find it. Because if you have a modern kitchen and a classic living space, your home may feel a bit strange. So if you like art deco interiors and furniture, go with that. Or if you’re obsessed with the minimal trend, stick to that. Just make sure you know what you like, and then keep that style going throughout the entire house.

Make Small Improvements

And definitely don’t force yourself to do big renovation jobs if you don’t want to. Instead, think about changing the kitchen cabinets rather than replacing everything. Or painting the bathroom tiles to brighten up the suite. These quick wins really can go a long way.

Focus On The Finishing Touches

But then if you really want to make sure that your interiors look incredible, you HAVE to focus on the finishing touches. Because this is the area where you will see the most improvements. If a room looks bare and empty, then there are a ton of stylish ways that you can finish the space. You will want to think about how candles or cushions or pictures can really bring a space alive.
